2 MAJOR TUNNELS ALONG THE HIGHWAY

The Northern Ring Motorway, stretching along between Odayeri and Paşaköy, consists of two major tunnels: Riva Tunnel with the largest cross-sectional excavation area in Europe; and Çamlık Tunnel, the largest tunnel in Europe and in Turkey with its 22 m diameter and 236 m2 excavation area. The highway also accommodates 28 intersections and link roads to these intersections, 72 viaducts, 4 road tunnels and 2 railway tunnels.
